A Dunedin-based advisory practice focused on business continuity and operational risk for New Zealand organisations.
Why we exist
After severe weather closed parts of Otago and Southland in successive winters, we kept meeting managers who held thick binders nobody had opened since the last audit. Anchor Risk Advisory was formed to replace shelf-ware with continuity advice that names real depots, clinics, and people — and that gets practised before the next interruption.
How we work
We sit with supervisors as often as directors. Continuity fails in the handovers: who holds the spare keys, who rings the freight broker at 5 a.m., who tells clients when appointments move. Our reviews and workshops stay close to those details.
We advise; we do not take over your crisis response. During a live event you remain in command. Our role beforehand is to make the first decisions less improvised.
People
Jordan Hale — Principal Advisor
Former operations manager in regional distribution, Jordan led continuity rebuilds after a warehouse fire and later trained as a business continuity facilitator. Jordan leads Continuity Readiness Reviews and tabletops.
Siena Okada — Risk Facilitator
Background in healthcare administration and community organisation governance. Siena runs operational risk workshops and supports clinics and NGOs navigating roster and premises dependencies.
Tane Riwai — Communications Coach
Worked in regional media and local government communications before joining advisory work. Tane designs crisis communications drills and messaging checklists.

Based in Dunedin
Our office is at Level 7, 18 Princes Street, Dunedin 9016. We travel for site work across the South Island and further afield when an engagement warrants it. Video sessions cover briefings and some drills when travel is not justified.
